Alien - Space Suit Arms Rig

Alien - Space Suit Arms Rig by Emilio Serrano

Alien Space Suit Arms is a free first-person rig for Maya from Emilio Serrano's Alien Series, the same assets he used in his Nostromo fan-art animation. Guillermo Moreno Alfaro sculpted, modelled and textured the Nostromo crew's space suit gloves, and Emilio rigged them on mGear for FPS animation: weapon handling, panel interactions and slow, atmospheric first-person shots.

Alien is out

Everything the rig ships with. What you get on day one:

Built for first person

Arms made for FPS shots: weapon wields, panel interactions and the slow environmental storytelling of the Alien films.

Sculpted by Guillermo Moreno Alfaro

Functional glove forms and heavy texturing, the weight of a suit designed for deep-space survival.

From a finished film

The same arms Emilio animated in his Nostromo fan-art piece, now rigged on mGear for your own shots.

Matches Facehugger and Egg

Part of the Alien Rig Bundle, sculpted to the same standard so all three sit in one scene without a visual break.

The story behind the Space Suit Arms

The hands your audience sees the Nostromo through

Emilio Serrano's Alien Series was built for one purpose: bringing the dread and atmosphere of Ridley Scott's film into Maya. The FPS Space Suit Arms are the first-person anchor of that series, the hands through which your audience moves around the Nostromo.

Guillermo Moreno Alfaro's sculpt gives the crew's space suit gloves their functional forms and heavy texturing. The rig is set up for weapon wields, panel interactions, and the deliberately slow, environmental storytelling that defines the look of the Alien franchise.

The arms are one part of Emilio's larger fan-art project. Combine them with the Facehugger and Egg rigs and you have a consistent Alien scene, with no jarring jump in sculpting quality between the three.
