The Akira Rigs Bundle for Maya pairs two free rigs by Emilio Serrano: the Kaneda character rig and the Kaneda bike rig. They are built to work together for character and vehicle shots, and each one still works on its own. Aimed at animators who want strong graphic poses, action shots and a real study of a rider moving with his machine.

Everything the rig ships with. What you get on day one:
Clean deformation and a straightforward, predictable control layout, from attitude-driven posing to full-body action.
Built for movement-heavy shots: grounded turns, braking poses and silhouettes that read at a glance.
Rider and bike are designed to function together, and either rig can be used as a standalone asset.
Both rigs come in the one bundle at no cost.
The bundle brings together two of Emilio Serrano's most visually distinctive rigs, drawn from the design language of Akira and its long influence on animation. For animators who grew up on the film, it is a way back to it through your own shots.
The Kaneda rig is about clear body mechanics. The controls stay out of the way so you can put your attention on timing, gesture and intent, whether the shot is a restrained, attitude-heavy pose or a full-body action beat.
The bike is about shape, mass and continuity of motion. Used together, the two rigs give you something that rarely comes in a free download: a character moving in direct relationship with a vehicle, an animation problem that is essential and often overlooked. It is a good way to drill posing discipline, weight and screen readability before moving on to bigger action sequences.
Clean deformation and a predictable control layout for body mechanics and action.
Shape, mass and motion continuity for turns, braking and movement-heavy shots.
Both rigs built by the same rigger to work as a pair.
