Reviews on Animworks are written by our community to help other animators make good buying decisions. This page explains how our reviews work and the standards we hold them to.
Who can leave a review
Anyone with an Animworks account can leave a review on a product. Reviews from people who actually bought or downloaded the product are marked with a Verified Owner badge, so shoppers can see at a glance which reviews come from real customers.
How we keep reviews genuine
We take reasonable and proportionate steps to make sure the reviews you read are real and trustworthy. In practice that means:
- Every review is checked before it appears on the site.
- We do not write, buy, sell, or commission fake reviews, and we never post reviews pretending to be a customer.
- We remove reviews we find to be fake, posted in bad faith, off-topic, abusive, or that reveal private information.
- We keep genuine negative reviews live. We do not hide, delete, or bury honest criticism, and we do not edit the substance of anyone’s review.
- Creators can publicly reply to reviews of their products, but they cannot edit or remove them.
Incentives
From time to time we may invite customers to leave a review, occasionally with a small thank-you such as a prize-draw entry or a discount. When we do, the reward is offered for leaving a review of any kind, never for leaving a positive one, and any incentive is clearly disclosed. We do not condition rewards on the rating a customer gives.
