Downloads & Files

How do I download a product after purchase?

After completing your purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a download link. You can also re-download any purchased product at any time from your My Account page under the Downloads tab.

Can I re-download a product I bought previously?

Yes. All purchased products are stored in your account indefinitely. Log in, go to My Account → Downloads, and you’ll find everything you’ve ever purchased available to download again.

What file formats are included?

This varies by product, each product page lists the included file formats (e.g. .mb, .ma, .fbx, .blend). Check the product description and Additional Information tab before purchasing if a specific format is critical for your pipeline.

My download link isn’t working. What do I do?

Download links expire after a set period for security reasons. If your link has expired, simply log in to your account and re-download from the Downloads tab. If you’re still having issues, contact us via the Contact page.

Compatibility & Software

Which versions of Maya are the rigs compatible with?

Compatibility information is listed on each product page under the Additional Information tab. If you don’t see the information you need, feel free to ask in the AnimWorks Discord, the creator or another user will usually be able to confirm.

Do the rigs work on both PC and Mac?

Most rigs are cross-platform. Platform compatibility is noted on the product page. If a product is Windows-only or has known Mac-specific issues, this will be clearly stated in the product description.

Do you offer Blender versions of the rigs?

Most of our current catalogue is Maya-first. Some products include FBX exports that can be imported into Blender, but a native Blender rig is not guaranteed unless explicitly stated on the product page. We’re working on expanding Blender-native content, if this is important to you, let us know in the community.

Licensing & Usage

Can I use AnimWorks rigs in commercial projects?

It depends on the product and the licence type. Free products are typically available for personal and educational use. Paid products may include a commercial licence, check the individual product page for the specific licence terms. If you need a studio or extended commercial licence, contact us and we’ll work something out.

Can I use these rigs in student or university work?

Yes. Free products are fully available for educational use. Most paid products also permit educational use, check the product licence for confirmation. If you’re unsure, reach out and we’ll clarify.

Can I share or redistribute products I’ve downloaded?

No. Products purchased or downloaded from AnimWorks are for your own use only and may not be redistributed, resold, or shared, even for free. If a colleague needs the same rig, please direct them to AnimWorks to download it themselves.

Payments & Refunds

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit and debit cards, and PayPal. All transactions are processed securely.

What is your refund policy for paid products?

Because our products are digital downloads, we generally cannot offer refunds once a file has been downloaded. If you have a genuine technical issue with a product, it’s corrupted, incompatible despite matching the listed specs, or significantly misrepresented, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we’ll review your case. Are free products actually free? Do I need an account?

Yes, free products are completely free. You’ll need to create a free account to download them, this lets you access your downloads again later from your account dashboard. No credit card required.

Account & Community

How do I create an account?

Click My Account in the top navigation and select Register. A free account gives you access to all free downloads and your purchase history.

What is the AnimWorks Community?

The AnimWorks Discord is our Discord server where animators share work, ask questions, review products, and discuss the craft. It’s free to join and runs independently from your store account.

How do I submit my own work to AnimWorks?

We’re always looking for quality creators to join the collective. Head to the Submit Your Work page to find out how.
